Providing continuity of care from pregnancy to birth to postpartum is our goal while ensuring you are fully informed. We will support you through all of your decision-making processes with evidence-based information. Ultimately, our priority is to make certain you know you have options, what those options are, and that your choice is respected. Every person on earth who gives birth will be required to physically recover, but you shouldn’t be forced to mentally and emotionally recover. Birth is a beautiful and empowering experience; we’re here to help you navigate it with a healthy, positive mindset. We will help protect and honor your wishes, as well as hold space during your pregnancy and birth. After all, this is YOUR BABY and YOUR BIRTH.
PLEASE NOTE: Where allowed, birth doulas will attend in person for your labor and delivery. Where hospitals are not allowing birth doulas to attend, we offer virtual birth doula support. You can find more information on our VIRTUAL SUPPORT HERE.
DOULA SUPPORT
My personal favorite! In-person, start-to-finish, I will be there to support you during your pregnancy by phone/text/email, and we will do two prenatal visits to set you up for success. Our first visit will entail preparing you for labor and delivery, while our second visit will involve postpartum preparation. If you so choose, I will arrive at your home to provide physical and emotional support to both you and your support partner (if you have one), and I will provide you with education along the way to make decisions on your next steps. Otherwise, I will arrive at the hospital, ready to help you through what can be one of the most empowering moments of your life!
In the following days, I will join you at home to help assess your well-being and provide tips/tricks to efficiently incorporate your new tiny human’s needs into your household flow. I can provide support or references for breastfeeding, swaddling, and sleep tips, as well as answer any questions you may have for me.
POSTPARTUM SUPPORT
All the hype about getting the baby earth-side, but only a little forethought as to what to do thereafter is a common oversight. Allow me to provide assistance with recovery, lactation, sleep, newborn safety, and efficient arrangement of household items. I also can provide recommendations for local resources, as needed.
