VIRTUAL BIRTH DOULA

For hospitals not allowing in person birth doula support, I offer virtual birth doula support. I will attend in person where hospital policy allows.

Virtual Birth Doula

Obviously, my preference is to support you face-to-face.  However, just as every birth is different, I have evolved the Doula support package to adhere to our changing world.  I can provide virtual support, and will be ‘with’ you every step of the way. My package options (in a nutshell) are as follows:

  1. Virtual Support start-to-finish based on hospital guidelines or your personal preference for social distancing. All prenatal meetings will be virtual.  At the onset of labor, you will call me and I will support you through the process, even in your desired birth place (home, hospital, birthing center). 
  2. Support you face-to-face, except for while in the hospital or birthing center, based on their restrictions. I am willing to standby and continue to contact the hospital/birth center to explore the in-person doula allowances, and we can adjust the contract accordingly if they suddenly allow in-person support.  Please note, I will still come to your home postpartum to support you.

Birth Planning

Don’t feel virtual labor support is for you but still want to be able to have a plan for your birth?  Then the birth planning package is for you! This option allows you to work with me and make a plan.  I will also prepare you on what to expect while giving birth during COVID.

  • Two prenatal visits 
  • Preparation for birthing during COVID- what to expect
  • Two follow up emails to ask any additional questions
  • A customized birth plan to present to your provider and nursing staff
  • Service provided by an experienced birth doula
